Since 2007 the Jolly Nyeko Foundation Canada (JNFC) has been working with Action For Children (AFC) in Uganda to invest in the future of Ugandan children and families in need. Based in Canada, JNFC connects Canadians with Ugandans with the objectives of building strong infrastructure as well as supportive social, educational, and family networks. We accomplish this through activities and projects that support grass roots community development and enable families to become financially self-sufficient.
Since its beginning in 1995, AFC has developed into a strong national agency reaching out to thousands of children daily. With its holistic approach to child rescue, modeling after the Family Preservation Program by keeping children within a family structure, as well as growing micro-enterprise development work, AFC is an established leader in the national non-profit community. It is a Christian, indigenous locally-run organization with a proven track record, accountable leadership, and strong international ties..
